Islands Marine Center, Inc. Spring Rendezvous
IMC's 2010 Poets Cove Rendezvous will be happening April 30& May 1st.
If you didn’t attend our Spring Rendezvous last year, you’ve got to put it on your calendar for 2010! We’ll be holding it at Poets Cove Resort and Spa. This year’s event is scheduled for April 30 & May 1st.
Last year was a huge success with more than 90 people attending the weekend’s events. And we can’t wait to do it all over again at this year’s rendezvous! Poets Cove Resort and Spa has been featured in several boating publications. The resort has a heated pool as well as a hot tub, two excellent restaurants a gorgeous pub and several different types of entertainment, including hiking, kayaking, sight-seeing and golf and a spa complete with steam cave.
Once again, you can either rent one of the resort’s lovely rooms or reserve a spot on the spacious dock. For moorage reservations, call 1-866-888-2683 and let them know you are with Islands Marine Center, as we have already blocked 40 slips. The moorage rate is $1.10 per foot. For Canada Customs Poets Cove will need your boat name, registration number and citizenship information. For room reservation at the resort call 1-888-512-7638 and notify the staff that you want one of the rooms blocked by IMC. We have 3 (left) Lodge rooms available at $169.00 (Canadian funds).
Feel free to take a look at Poets Cove Resort and Spa on their website at www.poetscove.com. You can make your reservation online if you like at reservations@poetscove.com or marina@poetscove.com. We will be arriving and checking in at Poets Cove on Friday April 30th. IMC will hold a welcome reception from 6-8 p.m. with food and refreshments in the Sea Glass Ballroom. Then start Saturday morning out with breakfast compliments of IMC in the Sea Glass Ballroom 8-10 a.m. You will then have the rest of the day to explore the resort and Pender Island, by boat, bike, kayak or however you prefer. After a refreshing day of relaxation join us for cocktail hour (cash bar) at 6 p.m. followed by dinner hosted by Pursuit and IMC at the same location. As we will need a head count for the catering preparation, please give Lesley a call at (360)468-3377 or email imc@rockisland.com and let her know how many will be in your party. Canadian Customs will be at the Poets Cove dock to clear us into Canada on Friday all day.
On the way home, you will need to clear U.S. Customs in Friday Harbor. Boats over 30’ will need a User Fee Decal, you can go to www.cbp.gov and search for User Fee Decal and take care of it on-line before you get to the US Border.
